You've got the rest of the world blues...

I know I rambled on and on before but it's back to being short and sweet.

We saw another FANTASTIC movie that everyone needs to see. Really really.
It's The Science of Sleep, and it it so beautifully done, it's makes you wish you had done it. So go rent it right now and make sure you watch the rescue kitty stuff in the extras. Now put some Serge on and be very very happy.
*Peace and love

Instead of a kickity kick ball we have the bouncity bounce pony ball.

we are major Michel Gondry fans here, but we still have to watch this movie!

irene-you WILL LOVE this! It is so endearingly sweet and strange. We're big fans too.

I loved The Science of Sleep. It was one of those movies that I waited and waited and waited to come out, counting down the days.

It is so nice to have things to wait for that end up just as you thought they would.

I have to check this movie out - we have a bouncy pink sit on it ball but I love yours much more.

rita-I felt the exact same way. Or it was more like-I was number 49 on the library waiting list forever, then very slowly I worked my way down the list. I knew this was going to be great. I also felt like this when I was waiting to see "Me and You and Everyone we Know"

kristen-Oh you will love it. The little man doesn't love the pony as much as I do. It's just so cute and so very orange.

I've been wanting to see that movie - I keep seeing the preview. In fact, Faith said she wanted to see it when the preview came on - LOL!!!

holliholli-oh I was really tempted to let the little man see it-esp. the cat rescue lady in the extras, but my husband said it would instantly put him into puberty.
This movie will make you want to make things.

I saw a preview for this when I went to the movies this summer, but then I read a so-so review in Premiere. But the fact that you liked it so much makes me want to see it now. I've liked Gondry's other stuff, in fact I own Human Nature and Eternal Sunshine.

I do like that he makes practical effects and doesn't rely entirely on CGI.

jc-forget about what you read especially from disgruntled critics(you never know the critic's history and perhaps they got snubbed by Gondry at a party. You know what I mean?) Gondry is a genius. And you will LOVE this.

Is it a coincidence that you talk about Serge and Science of Sleep in the same post? Did one lead to the other? You know that Serge's daughter, Charlotte, plays the cute girl? I adored that film. I went to the movies to see it twice. It's so sweet. Made me smile so very much. As did your bouncy bouncy drawing. *big smile and giggle*

Rose-I just love the Gainsbourg family. I just adored that film. I think I could see it many more.
