You're in Tokyo, and I'm not...

"We elves try to stick to the four major food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup."

This has to be one of my favorite lines from a Christmas movie.

I'm about to have a really big deal haircut. This is me at the start of summer.

This is me now-little blurry(typical) in the middle of fall.

Yes my hair grows very fast. It's in such a state I'm fed up with the hair.

This is what is going to happen, I'm going to go all Louise Brooks on everyone. Yes. I used to wear my hair this style. Sometimes it took on an Aeon Flux look. I got sick of it, now I'm sick of the layers.

I used to get really upset when I was a teenager when my hair wasn't perfect. I think I even cried over bad haircuts when I was little. I should ask my mom. No more-I want my hair off. I don't care if the weather is going to be cold soon. That's why men invented scarves right? Wish me luck.

Good luck with the haircut. I'm contemplating one myself - I'm getting a bit shaggy.

Shaggy indeed. Myself of course. And thanks for the luck.

Ooow! PG, you have nothing to complain about -- I really think the hair styles in both pictures suit you! Especially the latest one [even if it's blurred -- and hey, what are those stripey things you're wearing? Tights? A skirt? Trousers? Elaborate, please. I am a sucker for stripes]

Looking very forward to seeing your new hairdo! Be sure to share some visuals with us, and good luck. A new hairdo is ALWAYS a very big thing :-)

Lilly you are too sweet. I really was sick of the hair. Oh but it's all over now and I'll post a pic of the not so perfect hair. details will follow. let's just say I have to go have it corrected by a different stylist.

I just bought this stripe dress. very summery but I just couldn't wait to wear it so I layared. I felt very festive wearing it-Melvin called me a candy cane.

My hair is half way down my back.

I just pull it back in a low ponytail, or braid. Why? Because even though it doesn't look smashing, I have had more bad hair cuts than I can stand.

Some were costly; some were cheap. Finally I gave up. I have a lot of hair..tons, and when it's short it puffs out and I acquire a lollipop head...so, it's only reasonable looking long and I'm not the kind of person who have hair hanging around in my face...ergo the current no-cut hairdo I sport.

I do imagine a perfect short haircut that I can never get...so I don't do anything. A few months ago I just chopped off about 4 inches from the end of my ponytail...not a good idea.

It looked like a paint brush.

I feel for you and the hair woes but I have to say, short or medium, you hair looked great in the pictures.

Can't wait to see your new do, maybe you just need to get used to it...?

Wow Mary it's that long?! I remember you having some bad haircuts. I can't believe your hair is so long.
I too have had bad haircuts, and have just let it grow. Then I realize my hair is much better than any half wit hairdresser. You know it's a bad sign when a hairdresser has not so nice hair.

This haircut of mine, it needs to be just so for me to be happy. Otherwise it's just a bob.

Yup, my hair grows like a weed too. I haven't had it cut in 2 years! (Except my recent ponytail chop).

That's why I have trouble coloring it too -- within a week I have pretty good roots showing. I now color my own with streaks I make from Jolen cream bleach hahahahah.

Best highlights I've ever had and I can add one or two in each week since I'm making up the mixture.

Hair! for some it's the perfect cut every 6 weeks, for me it's been a lifelong problem. Too thick, too much and grows way too fast!

my hair grows super fast myself. the coloring is always a problem as well and maintenance is high when it's short. can't wait to see the photo.
