As promised the Halloween post...
I found this letter with a picture 20 years ago. It is addressed to a Craig Boswell, The Polor King/CGG to an street in Denver. I was in Gainesville, F-L-A at the time. The letter came from Jefferson NY.
The letter reads as follows:
Dear Craig-
Twice now you've been in my dreams-once after I overturned the Murphy's car, you came walking out of the woods in your coveralls to repair the damage. So I'm rather expecting you to show up any day now-here, at your dad's in Florida. Then I won't have to write you a letter telling you everyhting that's not going on in my life right now.
That's me in there-instead of Europe-no regrets.
Go ahead and find her and fall in love-better not wait for me to...
Gail
To all Gails and Craigs everywhere-Happy Halloween, and hopefully you found that girl!

Love,
love,
love it.
how cool is that?
Oh my gosh that picture is crazy. It's like Mr. Peanut turned into a pumpkin.
oh what a treasure!
Rita, It's something I have loved for a very long time.
kiki-It's funny because the post date on the letter is from 3 years earlier. It had been floating around for 3 years before it landed in my hands.
jc-(Laughing)isn't that insane. Who would ever think of putting a pumpkin on their head, instead of going to Europe?
margaret-another funny (and sad) detail about this is, a friend of mine at the time, loved it as well, and for a couple of years she held onto it. she returned it to me about 6 years ago and now I can't find her.
Very cool -- where did you come across this, Malermädchen?
Lilly-it was in my mailbox when I was in college. At that time it was already a couple of years old.
How odd. And very cool.
