I'll beam you up...

Space noise. Have you ever picked up a ringing phone and all you hear on the other side is outer space noise? We get it a lot. I'd like to think Melvin and I are being watched by very intelligent aliens, but it's more like big brother is down the road. Of course there is always "The Ring".

Which brings me to a very funny, urban legend of sorts that happened to me. I think it must have been 6 years ago when I received this email.

Hello,
If you are a Time Traveler I am going to need the following:

1. A modified mind warping Dimensional Warp Generator # 52 4350a series wrist watch with memory adapter.

2. Reliable carbon based, or silicon based time transducing capacitor.

I need a reliable source!! Please only reply if you are reliable. Send a (SEPARATE) email to me at:Tomnwrr@aol.com

Has anyone heard of this legend?

LOL LOL LOL! That's brilliant -- I've never heard of this, but how cool is that mail?! :-D

PG, I don't mean to [but I know I am going to] freak you out, but have you ever thought about the fact that it may be zombies who are calling you....? ;-P

Hold on a second Lilly...how is it possible that even my blogger friends tease me...Melvin is going to get a kick out of this becaese I tell him he teases me too much. My 4 year old even teases me. It's endless.

Why am I so afraid of the living dead?I should be much more afraid of serial killers. Zombies just aren't very smart are they? It's all related to the nuclear plant nearby.

Great spam - "can I have these time travelling items?". Much better than "would you like some viagra?".

Have you seen "Primer"? Some good time-travel weirdness in that one.

Hey Adam! Yeah I think this is the best spam ever-and I got it at work. It really cheered me up, and to think I kept it all this time.

I'll have to check out Primer-looked it up on imdb and it sounds interesting.
Yeah I thought, adam of adaminspace...soon we'll see "finlay of adaminspace. won't that be weird.

I don't know this urban legend and I thought I knew a lot of them. I wonder about those calls too......

kiki-I just LOVE urban legends. My best friend told me one about the bunny. She told me it was her dad's neighbor. So i guess I've had 2 urban legends happen to me.

Haven't heard of this one, but have you heard of John Titor?

PG -- I got that one too -- it blew my mind as I couldn't find the hook...!

Hey David-No I haven't but of course I'm intrigued now. This wouldn't surprise me a bit.

MB-You got this too. Isn't it bizarre world? Turns out this guy was setting up to send a virus to those who responded. The guy lived in Massachusets and is banned from ever mailing anything. At least that what WIRED reported, but I don't believe everything I read.
