the bats have left the belltower...

First off, we started watching "The Day After Tomorrow" and let me tell you it's freaking me out. All of this rain we've been having, it's like I'm living the movie. I'm expecting by nightfall a blizzard. I almost went out to Home Depot in search of a propane burner so we could have coffee and soup in case of a blackout. Enough with the drastic weather. Jeesh! And don't get me started on the chiken flu...

Secondly-my son and I went off to the mall to look for a present for my sister in-law(no I'm really not that nice and no she does not remember my birthday) and I think every mom and child in North Westchester was at this crummy little mall. And the worst part was that every kid was eating Burger King food. I don't mind on occasion, but I really hate for my son to be into fast food at such a young age. I should know, my dad had a couple of Burger Chef's and I'm still surprised I was not a huge child from all the fries and milkshakes I scarfed.

Now for my strange bit...
Yesterday I had a very strong sense of foreboding. My son was pointing out his dinosaur juice glass and inquiring about his other glasses in the set. My husband said "Your mommy started saving these a long time ago." And he was right. My roommate and I ate an awful lot of grape jelly to collect these glasses, oh about 17 years ago. Well my son loves them and is very capable and careful handling them, even at 3.

At snack time he wanted more apple juice and GIANT goldfish. When my son eats goldfish, he makes them ALL swim into his mouth. He's very theatrical about it
and it's very funny and sweet. Oh well, he was a little too dramatic with his swimming motions and knocked the juice glass off the table. I screamed. AHHHHHHHHEEEEE! Because I usually scream when glass is broken. (I must have gypsy blood in me)
I didn't scold or yell, but I was a little sad that one of these glasses broke, and the fact that I had a bad feeling about it earlier in the day didn't help either.

I would be very sad about the broken glass too. I know those glasses ~ sigh.

Broken glass is always a reason to scream, screech and at the very least, cuss.

acu-You know the Welsh's grape jelly glasses?! Cool. I have been selling things on ebay, but I may have to hunt these glasses sown so I can have extras. Screaming is such a nice release too. It really scares the animals though.

What did you think of Neverland?

ooo-are you implying that my episode was Matrix related? I'm pretty happy not thinking that the world is really like that. Unfortunately, my husband has such views and always looking for wormholes can get tiring too...

It's known as ESP. We all have it in my family (the women) and we say it Ehsp. Not letter by letter.

So, sorry about the glass, but HUZZAH to womanly Ehsp.

I bet I know which shitty mall you went to. Does it have a FOX Sports Bar and Grill in it?

Worse than the glass breaking is having that woo woo feeling that it is going to break. I hate those foreboding chilling premonitions but get them frequently.

Hope you find a replacement dinosaur on Ebay...

Loved Neverland, cried though.

LB-I like that. Is it pronounced hespa? Sometimes the ehsp really freaks me out. I wish I could put it to good use.

No-I've been to that mall. This is Jefferson Valley Mall(or JV) and for some bizarre reason there is a Sears and a Macy's and that's it for department stores. A truly sucky mall.

MB-You are my kind of woman- Immediately thinking of Ebay for a replacement. I did and I was very lucky to find a woman selling a set that has 2 that I never had. The only really good thing out of this glass ordeal.

Acu-Oh yes I cried too. When sweet Winsey started walking out into the garden, that was it for me. Makes me want my son to always be happy.
