take her to Spain, hear her complain...

I saw a red fox today behind the library-I'm taking it as a good omen.

If I had chickens, I wouldn't be so happy to see him.

Today a headline caught my eye, "Doctors Save Keith Richards' Brain"

I can think of several things wrong with that statement. I love ole' Kief but really, how has he been functioning since the 70's?

Our little threesome of a family went to Tribeca Film Festival and saw "Lassie". I cried a bit and our little man was probably the youngest in the theatre and was a good man. It wasn't until we came home after a long day, did he have a meltdown. It was a nice day in the city. The movie has Samantha Morton from Morvern Caller. I think she's a lovely actress. (It takes a lot for me to say that)

The movie we rented over the weekend was "Talk to Her". I cannot say enough nice things about this movie by Almodóvar. It was not like his usual film tendencies. Melvin and I decided it was more like a French film. More emotional than physical. If you are familiar with his films, you'll know exactly what I mean. The colors are vibrant, the cinematography reads like a Travel and Leisure Magazine. Find this film and watch it and get back to me.

Ha ha, Samantha Morton made quite a splash down here when she was doing River Queen.

Yikes! OK-so I think she is a decent actress, but she is a despicable human being. Why does this happen? You know what it is David-there are certain personalities that are more susceptable to allowing fame getting to their heads. Anyone can be this way if it's in their personality. lawyers, designers, investment bankers, musicians. We usually only hear about actors being this way because of the media. Sometimes people will crash and burn with this behavior, and then rise above it improve, as they age. Then there are some who will always be creeps.

We just watched "Derailed" last night. WORST MOVIE EVER!!!

If you are a fan of film, do not waste your time. As opposed to "Talk To Her', I cannot say enough bad things. The plot was full of holes and if Melvin and I guess what's happening, it's not so great.

Let me clarify this..it's not the Derailed with Jean Claude-it was with Clive Frickin Owen. I went to international movie database and got completely sidetracked.

Sounds fun with your family of 3. I don't think I could watch Lassie again, those animal movies make me cry my eyes out.

Sweet PainterGirl, I love the image attached to this post -- is that one of your paintings? It really gives me a nice feeling of warmness -- late late summer....lots of wee flowers in the air...

....flowers blowing in the hot breeze....yeah...

Yeah! Totally, Adam -- oh my 'hot summer breeze with flowers in the air' image just got demolished there! ;-)
