Verb you're so demanding...
My baby man is getting interested in things on tv. Sad. But this is a chance to guide him in the right direction. He was interested in Bob the Builder, but with some coaxing, now loves School House Rock. Very cool! Hopefully when he decides to talk he'll want to sing these songs. I can't tell you how many people my age I know that can recite the Preamble thanks to SHR. And the multiplication tables! How about 3 is a magic number? Let me here an amen to the number 5.
Extraordinarily nice...
Trying to be a great mom is not easy. It is a bit hard when your dog has bowel problems and currently we live in an apartment. Every 30 minutes the dog wants to go out, and it's hard explaining that to a toddler. Very difficult. And let's not forget about nature boy living in the woods by us. Cool. Meanwhile I'm doing the right things, setting a good example, doing I-Ching, and remaining calm in this crazy mixed up world.

There was a checkpoint charley...
Ok-so I don't think I have a lot of time on my hands, as some might think. But I was at the store today, and yes my cart theory is right. I was parked next to an Audi with W4 sticker on the back window, and yes they left the shopping cart in front of their car. Wealthy and inconsiderate. If you voted him back in, well good luck with all that.

Killing me softly with his words...
On the basis of the belief that all human beings share the same divine nature, we have a very strong ground, a very powerful reason, to believe that it is possible for each of us to develop a genuine sense of equanimity toward all beings.

Hello sunshine...
Today, actually yesterday, in the midst of getting angry at the person who did not pick up after their dog, I decided to be part of the solution, and not the problem. Anytime I find myself ready to complain, I try to figure out what I can do to rectify the situation. I keep telling my son this mantra as well. So, for the dog poop incident, I made a friendly little sign and placed it in the park. I would go and find the poop but the park is covered in leaves and I have no idea where it might be. I also started picking up garbage and recycling products and putting them in our bin. I know I'm not going to save the world, but I can at least set a good example for my 2 year old. Another thing that is very aggravating. People never return shopping carts. A friend of mine was telling me that she thinks that people use their carts in the store, like they drive their car. The clueless, well sit in the middle of an aisle like they are the only ones shopping. Hence, they probably drive around, talking on their mobile, causing accidents. Well, I have a new theory about shopping carts. What one does with a shopping cart once you get out in the parking lot, shows how you voted for the presidential election. Really. Just take note next time you are out. Those with 4 more year stickers, tend to place shopping carts next to the car in front of them. LAZY!
I also have a new respect for Viggo Mortensen. I just read his interview in Vanity Fair from January 2004. It's sad it took me this long, but hey, I have a toddler, I'm lucky to shower everyday. If any one ever reads my posts, check out this website.http://www.percevalpress.com/home.html
It's a publishing company and the home page states very eloquently what some Americans felt like saying after November 2.

Boots of leather...
I have no one to complain to, so this is my sound off board. I was just walking my dog with my son in his stroller when suddenly I looked down and there was dog poop on the tires of the stroller. We were walking through the park and of course there happen to be thousands of leaves on the grass because well, it's fall. Maybe the dogs owner lost sight of the poop with all the leaves around. I don't know. I am disgusted by the fact that there is poop on the tires. Very inconsiderate. If you own a dog, please pick up after them. If you don't, I don't care how nice and lovey dovey you are with the animals, you're still an asshole to humans.

Pablo Picasso was never called an A@#*%+$
I feel bad about something I just did. I called the cops. I have never called the cops. Oh wait there was that time I found a gun in the bushes by my house. Anyway, I saw a man making a sort of shanty behind the park right by my house. He is scraggly looking, not very scary. But...Gary Rawlings didn't really look very scary, and he lived in the woods and killed 5 college students at UF about 12 years ago. I feel bad because I don't want this sad sack of a human being to be beat up by the cops, but then I don't want to get knifed by a lunatic. I did the right thing, but I still feel bad.

Yesterday I was sad, today I'm pissed
Well it has happened. Another 4 years with w. And we're doomed. I am randomly honking at lux cars with w4 stickers on the window. Give ol' richeys a fright. What is so upsetting is that the republicans have latched on to religion, and they are so UN-christian like. They make up rules for others to follow, but they themselves feel they are above the law and above God. I really don't think our founding fathers would like the way are country is headed, especially having religion in our government. Or using religion as a tool to win peoples votes. It will be too late when the Christian right realise it was all a sham, and they are living on the street with their 10 children, (thanks to no abortions and good-bye Pill). What then, W has already said the working class is too greedy and have told them to pray to God and not worry about healthcare and the school system.
